How we work

CONSULTATION
You are going to live or work in the building and you have the first say in its design. For each project we'll work with you to develop a clear brief, or adapt your own set of employer's requirements and performance indicators.

COMMUNICATION
We'll set up a project team which is always led by one of Survey & Design's partners, to ensure personal commitment and a consistent approach. As a small, friendly and flexible practice, you can rely on us to respond quickly, suggest solutions rather than presenting you with problems, pick up on the details and deliver the product.

QUALITY
Once we've done the best design we can to meet your brief and any funding requirements (value management), we make sure that design gets built to the highest specification possible for the money available (value engineering). We've organised our own business method system to track progress, control costs and manage time.

We are pleased to announce that SURVEY & DESIGN Partnership, working with H.A.MARKS LTD. has been selected by Sport England to support their framework for the Design and Construction of Innovative Modular Building Solutions in London and the South East.

The requirements include visiting and surveying sites for condition and suitability, preparing feasibility reports including outline design proposals, consulting with local Planning and Building Control departments, preparation and submission of necessary Planning and Building Control applications and developing detailed design solutions as well as the construction process itself. The framework will provide Clients with an informed ‘one stop shop’ for their project.

This 4 year framework agreement is a part of a new strategy by Sport England to facilitate the delivery of new and upgraded sports facilities across England initially in support of the £50m ‘Inspired’ themed round the Places People Play programme, but also subsequent funding programmes.

The framework agreement is also available for use directly by other public sector bodies and National Governing Bodies of Sport, etc in the above areas with the aim that community level projects are provided in line with Sport England’s best practice documentation and Design Guidance Notes.
